Who we are

The service

Statement to Excel converts PDF bank statements into spreadsheets inside your web browser. Your statements are read on your own device and are not sent to us. Each browser gets 10 free pages. After that, pages come from a page pack.

How pages are counted

Each page of a PDF statement that is converted uses one page. A 12-page statement uses 12 pages. Your free pages are used first, then pages from your page pack.

No pages are taken if a statement cannot be read, if no transactions are recognised in it, or if the converter detects that any running balance in the result does not add up. In the last case you still see the result, with the rows that need checking highlighted. If pages are taken for a conversion that did not work properly, tell us while the pack is valid and we will put the pages back.

A single statement can have up to 200 pages.

Page packs

A page pack costs £9 in total and gives you 100 pages to use within 12 months of payment. It is a single payment and does not renew. Pages not used within 12 months expire. Unused pages cannot be exchanged for money, except under our refund promise or your legal rights.

After payment you receive an unlock code. It is saved in the browser you paid from, and you can enter it in other browsers and devices of your own. Anyone who has the code can use its pages, so please keep it to yourself and do not publish it.

Payment is processed through Stripe Managed Payments. Onelink (Sold through Link, LLC) is the merchant of record for the transaction and sends your receipt. Statement to Excel remains responsible for the page pack and the converter. Stripe's own terms, shown at checkout, apply to the payment itself. After you buy, we send you an email with your unlock code, these terms and our refund and cancellation information.

When you buy, you expressly consent to your page pack being supplied straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the legal right to cancel, which consumers usually have for 14 days, when supply begins. Our separate 14-day refund promise still applies; see our refunds and cancellation page.

Your statements and results

Because your statements never leave your device, we never hold a copy of them. The converter checks that running balances add up and highlights rows that need attention, but it cannot check that every description belongs to the right transaction. Check the results against your statement before you rely on them. The converter copies figures from your statement; it does not give accounting, tax or legal advice.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, digital content must meet the standards required by law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable, and services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Our 14-day refund promise is in addition to those rights.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care to make Statement to Excel work properly, but statement layouts vary, and not every statement can be read, for example scanned or photographed statements, or password-protected files. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Fair use

Please do not try to get around the free page allowance other than by buying a page pack, interfere with the site, or use it to convert statements you have no right to use.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The version in force at the time you buy a page pack governs that purchase.

Law

These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own part of the United Kingdom, and you retain the protection of its mandatory consumer protection laws.
