How to download a Santander bank statement
Santander keeps statements in the Mobile Banking app and Online Banking. Paper-free customers can see account activity from the last 7 years.
In the Santander Mobile Banking app
- Tap 'Mailbox' in the top-right corner.
- Tap 'Statements and documents'.
- Open the statement and tap the download icon in the top-right corner to save it as a PDF.
Downloading transactions instead
An older-style Santander help page says Online Banking lets you download transactions to Microsoft Excel, Quicken, PDF or Microsoft Money, with up to 600 transactions per download. If that option appears in your Online Banking, it may be quicker than converting a PDF. If it does not, convert the PDF statement instead.
How far back you can go
Santander says paper-free customers can see account activity from the last 7 years.
Turning the PDF into a spreadsheet
Once you have the PDF, you can drop it into our statement converter for an Excel file, or the PDF to CSV converter for a CSV file. The statement is read inside your own browser and is never uploaded. The converter checks that the running balance adds up and highlights any rows that need a second look. Scanned or photographed statements, and password-protected PDFs, cannot be read.
