How to download a NatWest bank statement
NatWest lets you download current account, savings and credit card statements as PDF files in Online Banking, going back up to 7 years.
In Online Banking
- Log in to Online Banking at onlinebanking.natwest.com.
- Select 'Statements & transactions' from the main menu, then 'Statements' in the 'Your statements' section.
- Choose the account, and use the time period dropdown to change the year.
- Select the statement you want. It downloads as a PDF file.

Using the statement as proof
NatWest says the downloaded PDF could be used as proof of your identity, address or income
. Check what the organisation asking for it will accept.
Turning the PDF into a spreadsheet
Once you have the PDF, you can drop it into our statement converter for an Excel file, or the PDF to CSV converter for a CSV file. The statement is read inside your own browser and is never uploaded. The converter checks that the running balance adds up and highlights any rows that need a second look. Scanned or photographed statements, and password-protected PDFs, cannot be read.
