How to download an HSBC bank statement
HSBC UK says you can view, download and print up to 6 years of statements in the app or online banking.
In the HSBC UK app
- Log on to the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app.
- Select the account you want a statement for.
- Tap 'View statements'.
- Select the month you want.
HSBC says you can also share a statement from the app, which it says is useful when you need proof of your address.
In online banking
- Log on to online banking and use the quick links menu to select 'Statements'.
- Choose the statement type.
- Select the year and month to download the statement to your device.
Paper statements
HSBC says to allow up to 5 working days for a bank account statement and 9 working days for a credit card statement by post, so downloading is quicker.
Turning the PDF into a spreadsheet
Once you have the PDF, you can drop it into our statement converter for an Excel file, or the PDF to CSV converter for a CSV file. The statement is read inside your own browser and is never uploaded. The converter checks that the running balance adds up and highlights any rows that need a second look. Scanned or photographed statements, and password-protected PDFs, cannot be read.
